Coba Education have an exciting opportunity for hard working individuals who are looking to start a teaching career in a Cover Supervisor role.
You don't need to be a qualified teacher, you don't even need to have a degree! You do, however need to have the drive and determination to produce a good work ethic among students and motivation to focus and achieve. This could also be the perfect opportunity to gain first hand experience before applying for your PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification. You will gain practical experience without the additional duties such as planning and marking that would usually be expected of a Qualified Teacher.

It is vital you hold at least a grade C at GCSE English and Maths and are able to follow instruction, particularly as an integral part of your role will be to follow teachers lesson plans.

Previous experience in an education setting is beneficial but not vital.

Day to day responsibilities:
*Following a lesson plan left in place by the Class Teacher
*Managing behaviour in the classroom
*Supporting children in their learning and answering any questions they may have
*Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in the classroom at all times
*Taking the register
*Providing feedback from the class/reporting behaviour where necessary to relevant staff members

Requirements for the role:
*Flexibility to work at short notice
*Confident and pro-active approach to work and a passion for working with children and young people
*Genuine interest in developing a career within education
*Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English
*Good behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain control within a classroom environment
*Commitment to developing the learning and achievement of students
*Resilient attitude with the ability to think on your feet.
