Let us tell you a bit about what our service includes for schools.

Fully vetted teaching staff

Our recruitment policy conforms to the very strict DfE Quality Mark standards - so we will ensure our staff holds a valid DBS check, two references, permission to work in the UK, Teaching Agency registration (GTC number), a health check, identity checks and undergo a face-to-face interview.

The importance of the Quality Mark scheme is emphasized by the 'Safeguarding Children' report by OFSTED which highlights the need for effective communication between schools and supply teaching agencies on data checking.

By using Quality Mark holders, schools are ensuring that the necessary checking procedures are in place and that the agencies they work with are up to date with the latest DfE guidelines.

The Quality Mark sets minimum standards for agencies to reach in areas such as the way they recruit and interview supply teachers, the way they check and manage their performance and the way they stay at the forefront of changes in the teaching sector.

Finding out what you want

We like to make sure our service is really up to scratch! So we are really interested in your feedback. New initiatives that we have put in place through teacher feedback include our Recommend a Teacher/School Scheme, ID cards, emailed booking confirmations and supply teacher information sheets. We will do our best to be the best for you!

CV mailing alert

After a teacher registration, we proactively email relevant CV’s to you. This has proved useful for many of our schools who keep CVs on record for future reference or are just keen to employ our staff straight away.

Our website

Coba Education uses an online timesheet system to confirm the hours a teacher has worked. Timesheets are managed on our website via a secure Online Schools Area, which you will be given login details for when you use our services. We will help you familiarise yourself with this simple system.

Your 'School Area' enables you to:

  • Access a complete cover management system
  • View weekly bookings, present, past and future
  • Verify teacher vetting details
  • Check employment history
  • Leave your own feedback
